Mahendra Singh Tikait was a famous farmer leader (Kisan Neta) of India who was born on 6 October 1935 in Sisauli, Uttar Pradesh, India. Sisauli is a village in Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh. After the death of his father, Mahendra Singh had become the Chaudhary of Baliyan Khap, when he was just 8 years old. Tikait was Presidents of the Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU). He was died due to bone cancer on 15 May 2011 at the age of 75.
