23. Tamil Nadu

Telangana is the 28h state of India. Telangana came into existence on 2 June 2014. The culture of the state is inspired from Persians, Mughals and Nizams. Diwali, Ganesh Chaturthi, Eid-ul-Fitr, Bakra-Eid are some of the religious festivals celebrated in the state. It was originally part of the region comprising Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh. The capital city of Hyderabad is shared between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The famous Char Minar is located here, which is also a shared monument among the two states.

27. Uttar Pradesh
Uttar Pradesh is the land of Ram, Lord Krishna and the Buddha. Uttar Pradesh is literally known as ‘Northern Province’ and is located in Northern India. It shares its borders with many other states like Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttarakhand etc. The culture of the state has roots in its art, literature, traditions etc. The festivals celebrated in the state are Diwali, Dussehra, Ganesh Chaturthi, and many more. The Kumbh mela organised in the state is visited by large number of tourists from across the country.
28. West Bengal
The culture of the state is adorned by colourful fairs and festivals every month. Located in the North Eastern part of the country. West Bengal is surrounded by three different countries – Nepal, Bangladesh and Bhutan. Rabindra sangeet, Nazrul Geeti, Gombhira song -dance Bishnupuri are the musical genres of the state. Durga Puja is the most famous festival of the state and Saraswati Puja, Laxmi Puja, Poila Baisakhi, etc. are some other festivals celebrated in West Bengal. Hill stations like Darjeeling and Siliguri attract tourists to the state.
