Premji is a chairman of Wipro Limited, Muhammed Hashim Premji incorporated Western Indian Vegetable Products Ltd, based at Amalner, a small town in the Jalgaon district of Maharashtra. In 2010 he became the 20th most power person of the world and India Today magazine also ranked him 9th in India’s 50 Most powerful people of 2017 list. Azim Premji founded Azim Premji Foundation which focused on education in India in 2001.
